New Karpeles Museum

 Please join Rock Island Preservation Society and Karpeles Manuscript Library on November 17th from 6:30 pm- 9:00 pm to celebrate the 100th birthday of the former First Church of Christ, Scientist building, 700 22nd Street, Rock Island, Illinois.  The celebration will include a program on the building’s beginnings, architecture and adaptive reuse by the Karpeles Manuscript Library, a tour highlighting special features of the building and the restoration process, followed by a reception and opportunity to view the current exhibit of Civil War documents.
