Jens Jensen, widely known as the father of the prairie style of landscape architecture designed the landscape for the Denkmann-Hauberg House.  October 8th will be Jens Jensen Day at Hauberg Civic Center.  Events will include the showing of the new film “Jens Jensen The Living Green”.  There will also be garden tours featuring original drawings of the landscape plan, photos taken during construction and early pictures of the completed terraces, woodland and formal gardens.  Copies of the RIPS booklet “The Denkmann-Hauberg Gardens: A Pictorial History of a Jens Jensen Landscape” will be available.  As will information on another prairie landscape architect, O.
