Daryl Empen will host this month's membersip meeting. The focus of the meeting will be the selection of historic preservation award winners for work completed in 2013 and preparation for presentation in May.
This month we will begin our meeting with a members only tour of the home of Martin Bush. Following the tour we will gather for a business meeting at City Limits Saloon.
Preservation Month is a nationally recognized event, sponsored annually with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, honoring and promoting historic preservation. We are a city-wide organization in Rock Island, Illinois, that advocates for preservation of our built environment through public education, research of historic buildings and sites and registration of significant historical places with local, state and federal authorities.
