Meeting agenda: Review 2013 and plan for 2014. At this meeting we will review and update our goals and objectives and plan activities, programs and projects for 2014. We are looking for new and inventive ways to promote heritage and preservation. Please bring your ideas to the meeting!
February marks the beginning of the RIPS year. Tonight we will elect officers, focus on membership (new and renewal) and continue working on an events calendar for 2014.
Daryl Empen will host this month's membersip meeting. The focus of the meeting will be the selection of historic preservation award winners for work completed in 2013 and preparation for presentation in May.
We are a city-wide organization in Rock Island, Illinois, that advocates for preservation of our built environment through public education, research of historic buildings and sites and registration of significant historical places with local, state and federal authorities.
