Dr. Maryan Wherry, a local historian and founding member of Friends of Quarters One, will lead us through the fascinating history of this architectural gem and share plans for the future use and preservation of Quarters One.
We will have a general business meeting with a special focus on reviewing nominations and selecting our 2018 Historic Preservation Award winners. Please use the west entry to the Credit Union on 23rd Street.
Nancy Thompson is both a basket collector and a basket weaver. Join us to see some of the baskets in her collection and learn about the history and variety in American basketry.
We are a city-wide organization in Rock Island, Illinois, that advocates for preservation of our built environment through public education, research of historic buildings and sites and registration of significant historical places with local, state and federal authorities.
